Through GEA, Transelec led the installation of Chile’s first synchronous condensers to strengthen the stability of the National Electric System. This equipment is located in Antofagasta and will be key to the energy transition, facilitating the integration of renewable energies and retirement of coal-powered plants.
Transelec expanded its Asset Monitoring Center in 2024, incorporating advanced technology including AI and drones to optimize the observability of the grid. These innovations enhance risk management and improve data-based decision-making.
