Transelec Group and Almar Water Solutions are leading the Centinela Project to strengthen the water supply for Minera Centinela, increasing seawater transport capacity by more than 50% without affecting land-based sources. This initiative reinforces Transelec Group’s commitment to diversification and sustainability in mining infrastructure.
Transelec acquired the Ana María Substation, enhancing its transmission capacity and facilitating the integration of renewable energies into the National Electric System. The expansion and modernization of infrastructure will contribute to increasing the system’s stability and efficiency. It is scheduled to be operational in 2025.
Transelec opened the Jadresic Substation in Antofagasta, optimizing electricity transmission and the integration of renewable energies into the National Electric System. It also made progress on the 2×500 kV Jadresic – Monte Mina line, strengthening the network and accelerating Chile’s energy transition.
Transelec acquired a 220 kV transmission line that connects 300 MW of renewable energy to the National Electric System, strengthening the electricity grid. It will become operational in 2025, and improvements will be introduced through 2027 to ensure its reliability and regulatory compliance.
Transelec developed a BESS system through GEA to complement the Solar Farm photovoltaic park, optimizing the use of renewable energies and stabilizing the grid. With 105 MW of injection and 420 MWh of storage, it will become operational in 2026, enhancing energy diversification and sustainability.
